THE TRUTH ABOUT SUICIDE IN THE AFTER LIFE
Do not die(Do not commit suicide).
Do you think, "If I die, everything will be over"?
Or do you think, "I will be relieved if I die"?
Suicide does not set you free.
It is sad to say, but your suffering will continue even after you commit suicide.
From the teachings of Master Ryuho Okawa, we have selected a prescription for your mind that you need right now.
What happens to people who commit suicide after their death?
There are people who do not realize that they are a spiritual being, a soul, even after they have died.
I suppose that there are people who commit suicide, thinking that life will become easier in the other world if they die. The vast majority of those who commit suicide, however, do not believe in the next world.
They think, “This world is full of pain, but life ends in this world. So if I die, my debts will disappear, the pain I experience in personal relationships will disappear, the pain of being fired from my job will disappear. If I die, then all my problems will be solved.” They then jump off a building or commit suicide in another way, but it takes these spirits a long time to realize their existence as souls.
As a result, even after they have arrived in the next world, they continue to commit suicide by jumping off tall buildings. When they do this, their bodies are smashed by the impact with the ground and blood flows from their wounds. It has the same effect as when they jumped in this world; their bodies are destroyed and there is blood everywhere.
“This time I have managed to die,” they think, but after a short while, their bodies repair themselves and they return to their original state. They then stand up, climb to the top of the building, and jump off again, repeating this many times.
After a while, they tire of this endless repetition and return to the building in this world where they originally committed suicide. They search for someone who looks as though he wishes to die, then possesses him, and they jump together.
There are many cliffs by the sea that are famous for the number of suicides that happen there. The numbers are so high because the spirits of those who have previously committed suicide drag other people to their deaths. They look for someone who is wandering around, deep in worry, then possess him and make him feel that the spirit’s emotions are his own, and let him commit suicide. In this way, they continue to increase their numbers until a specific spiritual field is created in that place, which becomes like a kind of Hell. So Hell is created in places that are famous as sites for suicides.
Not knowing the truth is indeed frightening. There are people who commit suicide without knowing that there is life after death and there are others who do so while believing that they will go to Heaven. Unfortunately, however, both remain unable to enter Heaven.
Even though you die on Earth, life continues in the next world. Your life is eternal, so if you want to return to Heaven after you die, while you are still on Earth you must live with a mind that is in accordance with that of the inhabitants of Heaven. This is the requirement for returning to Heaven.
If you want to know whether you will go to Heaven or not, think about whether you have the same state of mind as the inhabitants of Heaven. Do you think it is possible for people who have been driven into a corner and who die in anguish to return to Heaven? Ask yourself this and you will know the answer for yourself.
From "The Mystical Laws" by Ryuho Okawa

The body dies, but the soul does not.
In Japan and other countries, the materialistic philosophy that "death is the end" is prevalent, but as many world religions indicate, the soul that resides in the body is the essence of human beings. Even if one commits suicide in order to erase oneself, the soul will not disappear.

"When we die, we all go to heaven" is false. The souls of suicides cannot return straight to heaven.

The popular saying, "When we die, we all go to heaven," is not true. The reality of the afterlife is different. As the Buddhist doctrine of "the principle of cause and effect" teaches, those who die with a suffering mind go to the world of suffering (hell). It takes a long time for such people to purify their minds and ascend to heaven.

Suicide victims will experience many times more suffering and regret than they had before they died.
Most suicide victims do not immediately travel to the other side. They become earthbound spirits in the place or house where they died until their natural life span comes, and they experience regret and suffering as they watch the grief of those left behind. Some spirits are so distressed that they cause disturbances to those who are still alive.

Suicide would be an abandonment of the precious chance of life practice.

People are not born by chance. Every person is born in a variety of times and environments, having made a plan for his or her life on earth.
And in the course of life, each person is given trials and tribulations appropriate to his or her soul. While solving those hardships and difficulties as a "workbook of problems," each person is refining his or her soul.
Therefore, when we commit suicide, we are abandoning the precious practice of life, and we are leaving behind homework for the next life and beyond.
